Scott has developed six generations of the Genius, and this is the latest and best version yet. It is the ST which stands for “Super Trail,” aiming to be as capable as possible on any terrain. The Genius ST is a true all-rounder that can fly up a climb, tackle a rowdy descent, and sprint over tough terrain. The ST is built to accommodate more aggressive riding styles than the standard Genius. This version of the Scott Genius ST featuring a SRAM GX Eagle groupset for trail specific 12-speed mechanical shifting. The Scott Genius ST simply has everything you need to dominate the trail.
The frame of the Genius ST 910 is made with Scott’s HMF carbon fiber. This material is a step below their HMX carbon but is still very high performing. It only adds a small amount of weight and is guaranteed to have the same stiffness as HMX carbon. Scott targeted specific areas for lighter carbon and other areas for extra strength so you know it will hold up through a rowdy ride. With the HMF frame on the Genius ST, you can count on the highest level of performance on your daily trail ride.
One of the most unique elements of the Scott Genius ST is its integrated suspension. Scott collaborated with Fox to create a compact suspension that can be completely hidden within the frame. The result is the Fox Float X Nude PE shock which offers 150mm of rear travel as well as 100mm and lockout settings. There is a sag indicator on the rocker link so there is no need to see the actual suspension. You will also find a service flap under the bottom bracket for simple maintenance on your suspension. This is paired with a Ohlins RXF36 m.2 Airfork for an additional 160mm of front travel. The fork does not include a lockout setting, leaving more room for adjustability and performance.
The suspension is not the only area of the Genius ST that features unique integration. The axle features an integrated tool that contains a T25, T30, and 6mm Allen key. There is also a tubeless repair kit hidden in the bar end, so you have everything you need for a quick trailside repair. The headset comes with an angle-adjust feature which lets you choose between a 64 and 65-degree headtube angle. An integrated Syncros cockpit gives you maximum control, proper cable management, and a clean look. The Scott Genius ST will become your new favorite bike for any type of trail riding.
